About Me

Hello! I’m Emma Koehler, a dedicated parent coach, group facilitator, and educator with a passion for helping parents build strong, respectful connections with their children.

With over a decade of hands-on experience working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and families, both in classrooms and in community spaces, I bring a deep understanding of early childhood development and a compassionate, grounded approach to parenting support.

I am a trained RIE®️ practitioner (Foundations: Theory and Observation), and a certified Bringing Baby Home Educator through The Gottman Institute. I lead RIE®️-inspired playgroups in Portland, Oregon, offering families a space to slow down, observe, and connect through mindful caregiving and play. I also serve as a facilitator and education consultant for Stumptown Storks, supporting expecting parents as they prepare for the transition into parenthood.

As a parent of two children myself, I understand both the beauty and complexity of raising little ones. I believe that parenting is not about perfection but about building a relationship based on respect, connection, and trust, starting from birth.

Whether through playgroups, coaching, or workshops, my goal is to help you tune into your child’s development, respond with mindfulness and clarity, and feel more confident in the choices that shape your family life.

I’m so glad you’re here, and I look forward to supporting you on your parenting journey.
